Leeds Young Film creates and sustains opportunities for young people to develop their creativity and education through exploration of the moving image and interactive arts, from greater access to international film culture to experience of filmmaking, career development and showcasing.
Leeds Young People's Film Festival Leeds Young People’s Film Festival is an annual public event with audiences of 5,000 which screens films from around the world made both for and by young people, alongside moving-image related workshops and masterclasses.
MediaFish MediaFish is a cooperative of young people that is facilitated by Leeds Young Film to run their own film screening and making organisation. They host screenings for other young people and help plan the film festival.
Film Academy Film Academy is the home for the Film Festival's year-round film education programmes – a purpose-built hub delivering organised workshops and masterclasses, including career events and mini screenings. These programmes are offered to schools, colleges and other formal/informal education providers and can be tailored to each organisation's needs.
